Chart handling

Introduction

The QPS product suite supports the S-57 and S-63 standards established by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO).

S-57 is the standard for the exchange of digital hydrographic data used to create electronic navigational charts. S-63 is a security standard to protect the integrity and authenticity of S-57 ENCs during electronic chart distribution. See also S-63 Chart encryption and decryption

Uploading

Charts obtained can be directly copied to the 'My Charts' folder in Qastor.
For Windows users, this folder is located in 'Documents\Qastor'.
iOS users can find detailed instructions at the following links:

Older versions of Qastor required the charts to be converted into the QNC format.
This is no longer required.

Freely available charts, like Netherlands, NOAA and USACE, can be uploaded in Qastor though the default Connect Server.
