We are pleased to present FMGT 7.10.3

Highlights

• Improved Kongsberg .kmall corrections

• A new opt-in processing parameter Calculate and apply AVG across line breaks has been added in the Filter tab. This will allow the AVG to continue across line breaks by using the line before and after the line that is currently being filtered. You might want to consider using this feature if you are in deep water and have short survey lines or you are noticing backscatter differences at line breaks.

• Support has been added for the new Yaw stabilization mode with Norbit Winghead Sonars.

Bugs

• Processing / Source Files

  • Fixed an issue when pairing dual head Kongsberg .kmall format logged in Qinsy. The backscatter processing would fail. Users with existing projects will need to re-pair the .db and .qpd or re-export the GSF from Qimera in order to complete backscatter processing.

  • Fixed an issue with Kongsberg .kmall installation parameters.

  • The snippet scale factor in GSF for Kongsberg systems is now being used by FMGT.

  • Fixed a beam numbering mis-match in particular files between HDCS files and Reson backscatter files in XTF format.

  • Fixed a crash when importing a GSF from NavAQ with missing sensor specific subrecords.

  • Mosaicing Parameter Fill gaps using adjacency now correctly works (doesn't fill the gap) when vessel turning is logged, but pings are flagged as rejected.

  • Improved fault tolerance of the code that creates GSF files for dual-head Norbit setups where the FM pulse bandwidth was reported as a negative number. Users with existing projects with dual-head Norbit systems may notice a significant dB shift between the two heads. In this situation, the best course of action is to re-create GSF files since the original GSF files have a corrupt pulse bandwidth.

• Importing / Exporting

  • Exporting a one merged floating point geotiff will now prompt you to select a no-data value.

  • Exporting One Merged Floating Point Geotiff and Export Surface > Export Floating Point GeoTiff Grid will now product the same backscatter results.

• Other

  • Updated the Use All Soundings (Rejected and Interpolated) label found in the Processing Parameter Kongsberg Format tab. If soundings are rejected in .all or .kmall format and you do not want them included in the mosaic, uncheck this box.

New License Manager v1.9.7

• New license manager containing bug fixes and performance improvements.
