We are pleased to present Qimera 2.10.1. In this release, we addressed a performance regression in the spline filter and improved overall system stability. Read below for details.
Bugs
-
Scene / View
-
Fixed an issue where opening a project didn’t restore the camera and view to their previous state and instead zoomed to the project extents.
-
-
Tools and Editors
-
Fixed an issue where the Position Motion Latency option failed to enable when working exclusively with laser systems.
-
Fixed an issue where the 'W' and 'S' shortcut keys for moving the slice selection did not work immediately when opening the Slice Editor with a free slice selection.
-
Restored the "Highlight By" function in the 3D and Slice editors, which stopped working in version 2.10.0.
-
Fixed a crash that could occur when using the geometry rotation feature in Qimera.
-
Fixed an error message that appeared when removing a route from a project, even though the route had been removed successfully.
-
-
Processing / Source Files
-
Fixed a performance regression that made the Spline filter take longer to process in recent versions. Processing times are restored to expected levels.
-
Fixed an issue where the "Apply Refraction Correction" custom filter failed to apply to the entire dataset or a selection.
-
Fixed an issue where laser data in projects using US survey feet scaled incorrectly when no sound velocity profile (SVP) was present.
-
-
Qimera command
-
Users can no longer select a projected EPSG code for data import (for example, .s7k files) because those require a geographic coordinate system. An appropriate error message now appears.
-
-
Grids
-
Fixed an issue where the "Slope corrected uncertainty" attribute in Grid Statistics displayed the "Average" attribute's results.
-
-
General / Installation
-
Corrected the Roaming AppData path to be consistent with other QPS products.

License Manager - Activate Softlock |
Licensing - Opening older versions of Qimera may deactivate your license There is a known issue with licensing in older versions of Qimera. An error would appear in the dialog “Failed to Activate License” with the message “There are network adapters on the system that are disabled, please enable them and try again.” when trying to activate the softlock license. In order to fix this issue, we’ve updated the licensing in Qimera 2.8.0 and License Manager 1.10.2. This update may cause accidental license deactivation if you activate your license in Qimera 2.8.0 and then open an earlier 2.7.x version. The fix is to manually copy the DLLs (found in the link below) into that older version’s installation folder as noted in steps 1 and 2:

Limitation |
Filter toolbars to "Accept All Soundings" and "Revert Manual Edits" do not have the intended effect when used in a Cooperative Cleaning project to override cleaning that was done manually in the Master project prior to creating the Cooperative Cleaning project. Suggested workflow is to use the manual re-accept tools in the Slice Editor and 3D Editor. |
