Mean Backscatter
Average of all backscatter values in the grid cell.

Median Backscatter
Middle value of the sorted backscatter samples.

Minimum Backscatter
Lowest backscatter value in the cell.

Maximum Backscatter
Highest backscatter value in the cell.

Mode Backscatter
Most frequently occurring backscatter value.

Skewness
Measure of asymmetry in the distribution of backscatter values.

Kurtosis
Measure of how peaked or heavy‑tailed the distribution is.

Standard Deviation
Amount of variation or spread in backscatter values.

M3
Third central moment; relates to distribution asymmetry.

M4
Fourth central moment; relates to distribution tail weight (kurtosis).

Quartile Range
Distance between upper‑quartile (75%) and lower‑quartile (25%) values.

Number of Samples
Count of beams contributing backscatter values to the cell.

Grazing Angle
Average beam incidence angle of contributing samples.

10th Percentile
Value below which 10% of samples fall.

25th Percentile
First quartile; value below which 25% of samples fall.

75th Percentile
Third quartile; value below which 75% of samples fall.

90th Percentile
Value below which 90% of samples fall.
