Qinsy 9.5.5 - Improvements/New Functionality
Console - Generic Display - Add option to show vertical speed (penetration)
Added new item 'VSP' to Group RESULT DATA, Category Nodes: item represents the vertical speed for the selected node as published by the position filter (default in survey units/sec, value depends (like SOG e.g) on the online (kalman) filter settings).
*) Also added new speed unit to select: 'Meters/Minute'.

Console - Geo Config - Test - Change default number of decimals of E/N/H to 3
The default for the number of decimals is now 3 and it is possible to change it.

Displays - 3D Grid - Static objects - Add support of other file formats
It was already possible to select several file format for vessel objects in the 3D Grid display and in the 3D Point cloud display. In Qinsy 9.5.5 it will also be possible to select the following file formats for static object:
Direct X (*.x)
QPS Design files (*.qgfdes)
3DS Max (*.3ds)
Autodesk (*.fbx)
Wavefront (*.obj)
Lightwave (*.lwo)
AC3D (*.ac)

Drivers - DVL - Nortek Nucleus 1000 - Add driver
In addition to support for the Nortek DVL500 we now also added support for the Nortek Nucleus 1000.
The driver has also been renamed to “Nortek Binary”. The example below show the driver (type) that decoded the DVL data.

Support data types
Nortek DVL500
ADCP data
DVL Data
Nortek Nucleus 1000
DVL data
Bottom track
Water track
AHRS
Motion
Heading
Underwater sensors
Pressure
Altimeter
Miscellaneous systems
Various environmental observations
Drivers - INS - POS MV - Update Solution/status
Additional status information has been added to the binary format of the Applanix POSMV. Our driver now decodes those so you no longer see “-1” as solution mode.
The new status IDs include the following:
Marinestar G4
Marinestar G4+
Marinestar G2
Marinestar G2+
Marinestar HPXP
Marinestar HPG2
Trimble RTX
The following XML file can be used to setup a Generic display which translates the IDs to text:
POSMV - Qinsy_9-5-5 - Full Status.xml

Example of the display
Drivers - INS - SBG Systems - Status decoding doesn't work anymore after firmware upgrade
We changed the driver so it now decodes the status information from another part of the message. The part the driver used to decode from has been removed from the message.
This means the driver will no longer work for you if you have a firmware version before 1.3.
This was the follow up on Qinsy 9.5.4 - Known Issues.
Drivers - Laser - Teledyne Optech Polaris - Timing issue
An option has been added to select the timing source in the Control settings in the Echosounder Settings.
This because the timestamp of the laser is difference based on the input to the system:
UTC time if the send timestamp is $GPZDA;
GPS time if the send timestamp is $GPPPS.

Drivers - MBES - Kongsberg - KMALL UDP Multicast - Add support for 'multi port'
The Kongsberg UDP Multicast data can be send over multiple ports. This can be enabled in the Kongsber K-Controller software. The new driver in Qinsy 9.5.5 will now also be able to decode the data when it is split over multiple ports.
Drivers - MBES - Kongsberg - KMALL UDP Multicast/UDP - Add support for dual head in combination with 'Dual Swath'
Kongsberg has recently added support for dual head systems to output Dual Swath data for the KMALL format. Support for single head in combination with dual swath was already possible, but in Qinsy 9.5.5 it is now also possible to record this for dual heads systems.
TCP is currently not working and will be followed up in upcoming versions.
Drivers - Output - AutoPilot - Autopilot with turning track - Turning scenario
Added option to select one of the six possible scenario's of how the turning track should be calculated in order to overrule the best-fit (shortest track) scenario.

Drivers - Output - Autopilot - ID's of turning track results in long naming - make it user definable
Added advanced setting to set the turning track name format specifier so the user can overrule the default name which is "Turning Track to <mainline>"

Drivers - Positioning - Reson 7k - Add support for 1015 'Navigation' record to support SD's
The positioning driver for the Reson 7K format is now capable of decoding the SD information from the 1015 message.

Online - Session Setup - Storage - LogFile naming - Add Option for Mainline 2 in the file naming
In the Qinsy Session Setup, it is possible to setup additional mainlines.

It was already possible to use the active mainline name in the logfile name. In Qinsy 9.5.5 you can now also use the line name of any of the other mainlines.
#L or #l : Current mainline name (as it was)
#L1 : Current mainline name
#L2 : 2nd (or first additional) mainline name.
#L3 : 3rd (or 2nd additional) mainline name
…#L10 : 10th (or 9th additional) mainline name

Online - Session setup - Sounding grid - Grid Settings - Origin - offer 3 decimals as resolution 0.000m
The number of decimals that you can enter for the grid origin is now linked to what you set in the global settings. Below 2 pictures showing an example were the number of decimals is set to 3.

In most cases you do not need to set the grid origin and you can leave the setting to “Automatic”.
