Control - Automatic Line Selection

It is possible to automatically select the next line whenever a line is finished.

How the line will be selected as well as the definition of the line heading can be set here.

Automatic Line Selection
Selection Method
  • Disabled - Lines will not be selected automatically.
  • Planning - After a line is finished, automatically the next line from the Line Planning list will be selected.
  • Dynamic - The program will determine whichever line is closest and will select that line.
Line Bearing
  • Planning - The planned heading of a line or sections of a route is/are derived from the co-ordinate order in the Line Database file (from the first co-ordinate to the second, etc.). When this option is selected, the planned heading is shown in the Line Planning window next to the selected item name.
It can be reversed if needed using the right mouse menu.
During the survey the line bearing can be reversed (with recording off) using function key (F7).
  • Heading based - The heading of the line or route will automatically be determined using the heading of the object.
  • Closest distance to SOL or EOL - The heading of the line or route will automatically be determined from the steered node location:
    A) The planned heading will be used when the steered node is before the SOL.
    B) The planned heading will be reversed when the steered node is after the EOL.
    C) The planned heading will be unchanged when the steered node is in the line (between SOL and EOL).
