Reinstall HASP driver

Warning

Don't reinstall the HASP driver without access to internet or an installation disc of Qinsy!
You may need to install Qinsy again after re-installing the HASP driver.

  1. If you start Qinsy and get the message “No Dongle Found”, please try the following steps to resolve this problem:
  • Run Windows Update to update your system
  • Remove the dongle from the computer
  • Use the File Explorer and browse the Qinsy Program folder

  • Press SHIFT + Right Mouse Button
  • Select "Open command window here". A command prompt should appear.

      2. Type: haspdinst -info to check which driver version has been installed.

      3. Type: haspdinst -r -kp to remove the installed driver.

Note

If previous command does not work, use: haspdinst –fremove or haspdinst –fremove -purge

      4. When the "Operation is successfully completed" the driver has been removed.

  • This can be verified by typing: haspdinst -info and it will show version 0.0 for each component.

  • If the information window does not show 0.0 for each component, then please make sure that there are no (other) dongles connected to the computer.
Repeat the above steps until the driver is completely removed from the computer before proceeding with the steps  below.

The HASP driver is now uninstalled, proceed with Install HASP driver.
