We are pleased to present Qimera 2.4.6.

Highlights

  • Multi-Frequency filtering support for Kongsberg kmall files

  • More smoothing options in the navigation editor, cable/pipe tracker sensor editor and TOP detection tool

    • Smooth the original solution or smooth current solution

    • Remove all smoothing

    • Preview the smoothing settings before applying

  • All detections, including unused detections, will now be saved with the dynamic cable/pipe

  • Allow any dynamic cable/pipe to be loaded back into the TOP detection tool even if it isn't parallel to the route, by selecting the dynamic cable/pipe as the line to follow

  • Improved the speed of the TOP detection tool when working with large ascii files

  • Added the ability to load a reference line from a file directly in the TOP detection tool

  • Manual Edit button in the TOP detection tool will now stay activated when stepping along a dynamic cable/pipe

Bugs

  • Processing / Source Files

    • Fixed an issue extracting Hypack HSX files with the wrong start of file time

    • Allow contours to be generated when the contour interval falls outside the range of the surface, these contour intervals are skipped

    • Allow contour files in the Qimera project to be overwritten if saving new contours with the same name

    • FAU files that have all soundings rejected can now be brought into Qimera

    • Fixed an issue with NOAA CO-OPS tide import that was rounding negative tide values

  • Tools and Editors

    • Smoothing Depth, Across or Both is now found in the smoothing options dialog

    • Changed the title bar for the Wobble Tool warning message, it was previously listed incorrectly as the patch test tool

    • Fixed an issue with the mouse pointer staying as the loading icon when the wobble tool was launched

    • Fixed an issue with the Cross Check plot not updating when the custom parameters were changed

    • Fixed a revert to original issue in the cable/pipe tracker sensor editor that did not update the surface after reverting

    • Fixed the issue causing a warning message to be displayed when editing the dynamic cable/pipe when it contained reference line detections

    • Fixed an issue that caused the first TOP detection to be at 0 depth and 0 dx

    • Improved canceling the TOP detection when processing the entire line. Qimera would previously take much longer to cancel and would appear to hang

    • Fixed a Qimera slowdown when saving a water column snapshot

  • Importing / Exporting

    • Fixed an issue with Kongsberg kmall export to GSF when the project was created in older Qimera versions

    • Fixed an issue with Kongsberg kmall files not automatically detecting different vessel

    • Added an extra warning for unsupported processed point files during import

    • Fixed a 0,0,0 x,y,z position when exporting to ascii from the cable/pipe analysis tool using a custom step interval

    • Fixed an issue with OSGB geodetic transform causing QPD files not to match to .DB files

    • Dynamic Surfaces can now be exported with better support for character encoding

    • Added a warning if a project was opened and the QGFVOM was not found

  • Other

    • Min and max range in the colormap will now return the correct color, not the underflow / overflow color

    • Fixed a crash when changing a Dynamic Surface from displaying height to uncertainty 95%cl

    • Fixed an issue with CUBE histograms that had a 0.0 data range
