Interpretation

Introduction to Fledermaus Interpretation

Interpretation in Fledermaus is accomplished by the addition of a new SD Interpretation object. This object is meant to seamlessly move interpretation information to and from ArcGIS workspaces. The SD Interpretation object can also exist in a standard Fledermaus scene for users that don't have ArcGIS installed on their system.

Interpretation is done by defining Key Names that will be used to segment the interpreted areas of a scene. Adding areas to a key is accomplished using the built in Fledermaus selection tools. The user simply selects an area of interpretation then adds it to a specific key name. The following sections describe how to set up and use the SD Interpretation object.
